Despite delivering outputs that can be considered borderline crummy, I write.
I write to crystallize my thoughts. I write to relay as much of what I have figured out on the right way to think about money and life. You’ll find some of my work here.
That and the process of planning consumes most of my time with a tiny fraction of it devoted to the actual process of investing.
And I am convinced and the evidence is plenty that that is the right way to do this money thingy.
I have engineering degrees and an MBA but so do a million others.
And I wouldn’t want you to hand over decisions about your life savings to me just because I have this or that degree. I put out all that I have to say at every chance I get so maybe it makes your job easier to decide. I know it’s hard but that’s the system we’ve got.
I am frugal as hell. And there’s a near perfect compatibility on frugality in my family. Hopefully, some of that rubs on you and the more it does, the easier life gets.
But being frugal is not being cheap so don’t cheap out on this thing.
Relationships are everything. I am building a 100-year business that I’ll pass down to my daughters, so I am not playing any short-term games. And everything I’ll do for your family, I would have expected someone else to have done it for my family if the roles were reversed.
